Happy Thursday afternoon!!

Spent my day taking my little Phryne to the vet. She is fine just going at the area above her tail a lot. The vet popped her glands I know, t.m.i. and said to look for fleas. We have not seen a flea on either dog. She seems calmer, so maybe it was just the glands!
Afterwards we drove through Starbucks so I could get a very berry hibiscus refresher. It is in the mid 90's out there and I needed refreshing LOL! They saw Phryne and gave her a "puppy latte" ( a cup of whip cream). We brought it home to share with her brother Mac. He was quite disgruntled when he did not go with to the vet!

     Miss Phryne Fisher
Sir Mac ( see that disgruntled look!)

I am reading the book Love the Home you Have and trying to do just that! We have been in our home 20 years now and have thought of selling and moving to the mountains. As much as that is tempting, I do not think I could leave here. So many memories and blood, sweat and tears in this home.

I like the way she writes about the home and about her love of houses. I too love to look at different houses and imagine what they are like inside. It has encouraged me to fix up, clean up and clear out our home. What more could I want? I have a new kitchen, a workshop, an acre and a half , a pool and so much more here! We are in the country, but close to shopping and local farms. Yes, we will stay here, but we will travel!!!

May God shine his light on your life today and everyday,
                      Hugs and love,

Getting my cottage in order!

I decided it is time to de-junk, de-clutter and refresh my sewing cottage. My hubs built it for me several years ago and I really have not used it much. It is a beautiful little place with all the comforts one could want. Air conditioning, heat, loads of electric outlets, great lighting and all my sewing and crafting stuff!
Really, I had good intentions of sewing and enjoying, but life simply took me another direction. Two grandsons were born since it was built and other twists put it all on the back burner.
My health was in decline due to obesity. So I decided to have gastric bypass surgery 2 years ago. I have lost 120 lbs. and regained my life! Now I am ready to enjoy my little hobbies again!

Before my surgery at 270 lbs
July of 2015 at 137 lbs. Did my first 5 K color run with my hubs!!

So I started to paint the walls a beautiful pale pinkish lavender.

I love my little cottage or "Teddy Bear House" as i also refer to it. I love to make jointed teddy bears and some of my creations live in the cottage.

Well, I have shared a lot in this first post! I will be back tomorrow, God willing!
